Calvin D. Austin, P.E., MS
President
Calvin is President and Founder of Austin Engineering, LLC. With over 20 years of experience designing, leading, and managing projects, Calvin has performed and managed the structural design for a broad spectrum of building types including commercial office buildings, educational buildings, residential buildings, aircraft hangars, data centers, healthcare facilities, and parking garages. He has also worked on renovation projects and provided structural assessments of existing buildings. Calvin has extensive experience in structural analysis and design of various building materials including steel, masonry, wood, reinforced concrete, and post-tensioned concrete. Calvin was also visiting faculty for Catholic University of America School of Architecture and Planning from 2004 to 2011, serving as an instructor for Structures III, where he taught concepts related to the design of structural elements in steel and reinforced concrete in accordance with current code provisions.
